Join us as we celebrate the music of the year the library first opened its doors: 1966. Jay Daniels, a pianist and vocalist who presents engaging, audience-friendly concerts, will combine live music, storytelling, and musical history as he presents 1966: A Year in Review.

Some of the songs will include... 

"Strangers in the Night" and "That's Life" by Frank Sinatra 

"Ain't Too Proud to Beg" by The Temptations 

"You Can't Hurry Love" by The Supremes 

"Wouldn't It Be Nice" by The Beach Boys

For nearly 30 years, pianist and vocalist Jay Daniels has been sharing the gift of timeless music with audiences throughout the mid-Atlantic region. A native of Louisa County, Virginia, Jay now resides in Collingswood, New Jersey. Jay received some of his musical training at Shenandoah University under the direction of Michael Forest, an acclaimed tenor who spent nearly 30 years at the Metropolitan Opera House. Previously, Jay was also the host for the nationally syndicated jazz radio program, Simply Timeless, heard on nearly 20 stations across the country until 2022.
