Stories for children ages 36 months and up, filled with songs, stories, and general silliness. This program will take place in the Children's Story Room.

It's time for a Teen and Tween Crafting! Ready to transform basic supplies into something creative and wonderful? Interested in jewelry making, origami, diamond art, unique accessories, ornaments, paper beadmaking, bookbinding, or card making? This group might be for you. Using crafting supplies, we’ll make paper beads, duct tape fabric, or clay shapes to turn into something amazing. Using found items, we’ll use our creativity to make something unique.

From suncatchers and squishy shapes to journals and satchels, the possibilities are endless. What will we be working on this month? Come join us to find out and CRAFT something unique! Everything needed will be supplied. Interested teens in grades 6-12 should register online. Preference is given to Heggan cardholders. Register now, supplies are limited.

A group of local writers meets in the library on the second Tuesday of each month. Aspiring writers ages 16 and up are invited to come and write, share, be inspired, and enjoy the company of other writers. 

Please join us for a twenty-minute active storytime for 0-24 months that focuses on using lap rhymes, fingerplays, music, and movement, as well as very short stories.

This is a fun filled thirty-minute non-traditional, active storytime based around movements, parachute play, and gross motor play for 24-36 months. Storytime will sometimes include parachute, bubbles, hula hoops, rhythm sticks, and/or more.

For school-aged scientists in grades K-5. Come explore some “gross” science with us!

For preschool scientists ages 4-6 and their caregivers. Let's read a picture book and explore some “gross” science together!

Do you like to write? Do you like playing with words or pictures to tell a story? Are poetry and lyrics more your style? Do you want to write a book someday? Why not start today? Through mysteries, fantasies, horror stories, histories, adventures, essays, letters, and more, the Writing Club explores and creates a variety of writings both individual and collective. 

Join us to discuss writing, get feedback on your works in progress, and get closer to creating your great work! This club gives young writers support and encouragement! This is a hybrid program. Join us for an all-ages storytime featuring family-friendly stories, songs, and fun!

For children ages 0-29 months and their caregivers. This is a fun-filled twenty-minute session that uses rhymes, songs, puppets, and more to stimulate the learning process of babies and young toddlers. 

Join us for a thirty-minute music- and dance-based storytime for children ages 30 months (2.5 years) and up.

Explore your interest in art with friends. Participants will have time, space, and materials to create. This monthly club will be led by a Teen Advisory Board member and is meant to allow teens to explore all things ART! Come check it out and have fun while exploring favorite artistic mediums and hanging out with like-minded friends.
Meetings include discussions, art challenges, time for participants to work on individual projects, collaborations with fellow members, or simply hanging out while incubating one’s creative genius. Come join us to create and have a supportive sounding board for your creativity. The Art Club is open to Teens and Tween in grades 6-12. Preference is given to Heggan Library cardholders. Join our new social club and enjoy a round of role playing adventures with some new friends! 

Bring your own character, create a new one, or embody an adventurer prepared for you in advance. New and veteran players welcome alike! Adventures are episodic, jump in at any time!
